Dr. Nadeem Moghal was invited by the North West Ohio Academy of Podiatric Medicine to give a presentation on “Complex Regional Pain Syndrome of the Foot”.
The presentation took place at the Brandywine Country Club for the Holy Toledo Seminar & Autumn Golf Outing.
In short, Dr. Moghal spoke on the treatment options for chronic pain in the foot. Injuries such as ligament sprains, muscle strains, bruises, and fractures typically occur suddenly (acutely). Sprains, strains, bruises, and fractures may be the result of a single or combination of ongoing stresses to the foot. He discussed the use of electrical medical devices such as ultrasound, various forms of electrical stimulation, LED light therapy (laser), and/or manual therapies to reduce pain and increase circulation to the area to promote healing.
